Meet the Vinehealth team - Serena Popat, Quantitative User Researcher

Say hi to Serena, our Quantitative User Researcher!

In her spare time she is a competitive badminton player, loves travelling and hiking, as well as escape rooms and sudokus!

We asked Serena some questions about her role and what it’s like to work at Vinehealth!

How would you describe your role in 2 sentences?
I like to think of my role as having two sides, on one side I speak to patients & clinicians to understand their thoughts, feedback and test our new features with them and on the other side I analyse data to understand what features are/aren't performing and identify improvements we could make and experiment with.

How long have you been working at Vinehealth?
I started working at Vinehealth earlier this year, in April 2021!

What did you do before joining Vinehealth?
Before joining Vinehealth I worked as an Innovation Consultant at a large Consulting Company, where I was able to learn lots of different methodologies and work across different industries!

Why did you decide to join Vinehealth?
There were several reason why Vinehealth was the perfect place for me:

  1. I really wanted to work on something that a meaningful impact on people’s lives, and Vinehealth does just this

  2. I knew I wanted to work in the health sector as it’s something I find really interesting and I was really keen to experience the startup world

  3. Thirdly I have a real interest in behavioural science and data science so working at Vinehealth gives me the opportunity to develop and enhance my knowledge in both of these areas

What are you most proud of/enjoying working on at the moment?
I'm most proud of the work I've been doing recently in making the add medications flows easier to use, it’s been so interesting running usability testing on these designs! I also worked on a email experiment with Anastasiia and now I’ve scaled it which has been really exciting. A few weeks ago, I hosted an instagram live with Dr Liz O’Riordan which I absolutely loved it was great to understand more about Liz’s experience and provide useful information to our users.

What do you like most about working at Vinehealth?
The team!! Everyone is amazing, intelligent, great to collaborate with and fun! We have a really great inclusive culture and I think I’ve learnt something random and new everyday! I also really like the fact that each day is different and there are always problems to solve.

How would you describe Vinehealth in 3 words?

Thank you, Serena!
