Vinehealth announces partnership with Sarcoma UK
Vinehealth and Sarcoma UK partner to support sarcoma patients and further build the app’s resources across cancer types
Vinehealth has partnered with Sarcoma UK to further strengthen its work in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of cancer patients during COVID-19, through access to the charity’s invaluable Support Line and extensive online resources.
The Vinehealth app allows patients to better track, manage and understand aspects of their care including their symptoms, side effects, and communication with carers and medical professionals.
During these challenging times, as many cancer patients are considered a vulnerable group with respect to COVID-19, the platform enables those self-isolating to maintain a crucial link to their clinical team and to self-manage so that they feel more in control.
It also helps them manage anxiety induced by the pandemic, to improve the patient’s experience through their treatment journey and ultimately, cancer outcomes.
Providing easy access to all relevant information and support services is fundamental in achieving this, particularly in a setting where most cancer patients are having less face to face communication and support from healthcare professionals.
The collaboration will give users of the Vinehealth app access to Sarcoma UK’s abundance of resources including patient guides, both educational and supportive podcasts and their Clinical Trials Hub.
Importantly, it will also provide access to the charity’s Support Line through call, email or text, giving all sarcoma patients the opportunity to ask any questions, seek advice, or have a conversation with others going through the same journey.
This partnership is a fundamental step towards further enriching the Vinehealth ecosystem and providing resources for as wide a range of patients as possible. As this continues to grow, so will the emphasis of changing the paradigm of the cancer journey and putting quality of life first.
