Patient Advisor: James Amos
When speaking to our patient advisors, we make sure to collect their feedback as well as record all observations we notice when they show us how they go about using certain features in the app.
Those include paths the participants choose to navigate around, interactions they make with the app, and comments they make when they go through the tasks when thinking out loud.
These techniques help us to ensure that we are developing an app with features that are intuitive and easy to use.
This week, please meet James, one of our patient advisors, who has participated in loads of user research sessions and helped us to understand which parts of the app can be improved.

James's thoughts
"There are two things I like: meaningful data and helping people! So it seemed logical to want to assist the wonderful Serena and Anastasiia with usability testing of the Vinehealth app. Until its release I was recording ALL my daily health data and symptoms in a diary. The Vinehealth app now allows me to do this in real time digitally and to have the ability to communicate these records with my oncologist & healthcare team.
By using me as a test subject to evaluate how easily I can operate the app I hope that it makes its functionality for others completely seamless and contributes to them taking back control of their health and treatment."
