Case Study: The National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery

The National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery were interested in testing the feasibility of a digital tool to provide supported self-management for patients with brain cancers.

Patients participating in this study used the Vinehealth app to track symptoms and toxicities, access pathway-specific educational content, and set and receive medication and appointment reminders.

Over a 12-week period, patients used the app to submit real-world ePRO data. Patient feedback was collected at the start of the study and after the participants had been using the app for two weeks.

The study showed acceptable patient use with all participants commenting that they would recommend Vinehealth to others, while expressing subjective improvements in care.
